  • Travel to an assigned siren location on the day of the test
  • Conduct a basic visual inspection of the siren and surrounding area
  • Note any visible damage, obstructions, or other concerns
  • Observe the siren during the test for proper rotation and sound
  • Report your findings via the amateur radio net or by email to the coordinator

ARES Coordinator – Rich, K9WG

The ARES Group meets monthly on the 2nd Saturday of the month to discuss emergency communications and operational strategy that would be implemented by amateur radio operators during a county disaster declaration.



The Hancock Flat 50 Community Bicycle Ride is seeking amateur radio volunteers to provide course safety and communications support during this year’s event on Saturday, August 29.  Volunteers will be needed between 7:30 AM and approximately 2:00 PM

Join us this evening between 4:00pm and 9:00 pm as we return to Hometown Pizza, 1002 E Main Street, Greenfield for our third club fundraiser this year.
All portion of the sales this evening , whether dine-in or take out, will be eligible for a rebate to the HARC.
Bring your family and friends for an evening of good food and stike up a converaton with some of your fellow club members who you have heard on the air but never met.
