This Weekly Net serves Several Purposes ….

  • Provides an opportunity for licensed operators to:
    • Validate their Radio Setup using the correct CTCSS & DCS Codes
    • Test your radios Transmitted Signal Propagation and Reception Capability
  • Train new Net Control Operators and Participants to become familiar with Net Operating Procedures
  • Hear Announcements of Local Radio Related Events as well as Volunteer Opportunities
  • Allows participants to Publicize an Amateur Radio Related Event
  • Provides an opportunity for participants to Buy-Sell-Trade amateur radio related equipment.

The ARES Group meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month to discuss and plan for Emergency Communications that could be implemented to serve the local community whenever a local disaster is declared.
